Atlanta Artist Opens Exhibit
At Local Gallery To Benefit Gwinnett Disaster Relief Team
Artist Gwen de Silva supports Gwinnett nonprofit through sale of her works
ATLANTA - June 1, 2006 - Internationally acclaimed artist Gwen de Silva will premiere a new exhibit of her work at the Carisma Gallery in historic downtown Buford, Georgia. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of her works will benefit the Gwinnett Disaster Relief Team, a nonprofit organization committed to helping small businesses prepare and rebuild after natural disasters.
An Atlanta resident for more than 10 years, de Silva creates paintings inspired by the years she spent in Spain and the Mediterranean. Her oil paintings are featured in many private and corporate collections around the world and have garnered praise from the international art community.
The event, co-sponsored by Processing for a Cause, a division of Electronic Exchange Systems, will include a selection of fine wines and cheeses.
